Totally
Tutored is an in-home tutoring service
providing tutoring in Los Angeles County for
all subjects at all levels. Clients range in age from preschool to
adult.
Qualifications
Tutors must be college students or graduates. Must be reliable, punctual, eager, well groomed, and able to find addresses in unfamiliar neighborhoods. Can communicate ideas and explain so students understand. Organizational skills. Good study and testing skills.
Subjects needed:
- All elementary subjects, especially reading and math
- Middle and high school, especially math, science, language arts, history, foreign languages, college prep, and test preparation
- College statistics, accounting, finance, editing, history, etc.
Being a tutor for Totally Tutored
When a client calls for a tutor that matches the subjects you teach and geographic area, we will give you their phone number. You will arrange the time and day of the session, which usually takes place at the student's home on weeknights, but can also be at a library or other public place.
We charge the client $40 for the first hour, and $10 for each additional 15-minute increment. Most sessions last an hour. The number of hours you work depends mostly on how much a student needs your help and the number of clients who require your services.
Your pay will be $20 per hour. Some tutors with extensive experience can earn more.

- Print and sign/initial the Tutor's Contract.
- Fill out the top section of the I-9 form.
